Who We Are
The Calm Seas Project is a veteran-founded nonprofit focused on bringing veterans and first responders together through fishing, outdoor experiences and holistic wellness activities.
From Pensacola to Jacksonville
I'm a Marine veteran myself, so I know firsthand that leaving the military doesn't necessarily mean you leave your experiences behind. One of the hardest things to replace is the sense of belonging, camaraderie and brotherhood. We aim to change that.
Our first major trip was the Marine Raider Reunion in Pensacola this April, a weekend of fishing and remembrance honoring a fallen Marine Raider. Veterans who once served side by side spent time back on the water together, and it showed us what a weekend like that can do.
Now we're bringing that same spirit to Jacksonville, Florida. From November 6 to 8, The Calm Seas Project is hosting seven veterans on all-expenses-paid fishing trips, so the weekend costs them nothing.

Join Us
Our trips are free for the veterans who join us. To learn more or to support the next one, visit calmseasproject.org, and follow along on Instagram at instagram.com/calmseasproject.
